WORLD CLASS WORKSHOP: Skye and Frida in Copenhagen

We are super happy to announce that two of our favorite international dancers and teachers, Skye Humphries (US) and Frida Segerdahl (SE), will be teaching two Lindy Hop workshops.

Earlier this year they placed first in both the Classic and Strictly divisions at The International Lindy Hop Championships. You can watch their classic routine here:

We will have two levels – approximately Intermediate advanced and Advanced – with 2,5 hours of class on both Saturday and Sunday for each level.

Please read the level descriptions carefully:

Level A: This level is approximately intermediate advanced.

You dance regularly in both class and socially and you have taken classes for at least 3 years. Maybe you’ve also attended one or several international workshops before. You want to learn new moves but are also happy to work on fine tuning your basics and up for rhythmic challenges, faster tempos and elements of solo jazz in your Lindy Hop.

When: from 13:30 to 16:00 on both days.

If you’re taking classes at Hepcats, you’re probably on the Experienced level (or will be when November comes).

Level B: This level is approximately advanced.

You’ve danced for more than 5 years, you have attended international workshops and you are comfortable at faster tempos. You might be a teacher locally and you have a keen eye for what you need to work on in your own dancing.

When: from 10:00 to 12:30 on both days.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU SIGN UP WITH A PARTNER, YOU BOTH HAVE TO SIGN UP FOR THE SAME LEVEL.

On Saturday evening from 19 to 23 we’ll have a party at the same venue featuring live music by Flying Jazzman.

You can register for the workshop and the party here.

Later there will be a limited number of tickets available for people who are not participating in the workshop.
Plans for DJ’ed social dancing Friday at Idrætsfabrikken are still in the making so stay tuned.
